Lead Pastors

Pastor JV has served in Student Ministry for 13 years. He has currently made the transition to Saint Augustine, Florida where he and his wife, Moriah are planting Movement Church. He has served on the the National Youth Board and Winterfest Board as the Spiritual Life Chairman. In 2018, Pastors JV and Moriah got married and continued leading student ministry. They were born and raised in Charlotte, NC and attended Lee University. JV is a Bishop in the Church of God and is passionate about preaching the word and seeing lives changed for Jesus.

For a time now, the Pender’s have felt the call to be the Movement for all generations. In 2023, they made the move to Saint Augustine with a dream to see a city be moved by the authentic love of Jesus. Pastors JV and Moriah have their first son, Easton, on the way.

Worship Pastor

Pastor Savannah has served in Worship Ministry for 14 years. She began leading worship in her home church’s youth group and has since expanded that ministry to include several states and churches. In 2021 Savannah returned to her home church after being in Chattanooga, Tennessee for several years and began leading worship in the youth group where she first began. It was there that she met Pastors JV and Moriah and was reintroduced to her now husband, Kent Schirmacher.

When Pastor Savannah and Kent learned of Pastors JV and Moriah’s plans to move to Florida to begin the groundwork for Movement Church, there was no question about “if” they joined them, but when. After getting married in September of 2023 they made the move and are so excited to be a part of Movement Church.

Pastor Savannah has had the blessing of being mentored by some of the best Worship Leaders our region has to offer and has gleaned everything she could from those seasons. Serving in various ministries and seeing the in’s and out’s of the church world has helped Pastor Savannah bring a unique and authentic perspective to Worship Ministry that she can’t wait to share with your city.
